Call Your Legislators to Say "We Need a Clean DREAM Act NOW!"
Thank you for calling your IL Congressional Delegation, urging them to support a Clean DREAM Act THIS WEEK, with no additional funding or provisions for the criminalization of immigrants and refugees. Immigration is being shoved to the back burner of the congressional agenda - we need to bring it back front and center by flooding their offices with calls all of this week. Congress needs to know: we will not allow any budget measure or continuing resolution to pass without the passage of a clean DREAM Act NOW.

Sen. Dick Durbin - Washington Office: (202) 224-2152
Sen. Tammy Duckworth - Washington Office:  (202) 224-2854

Feel free to use the following script when making your calls:

Good morning/afternoon, my name is _________ and I am a resident in your district and a member/constituent of the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. I'm calling because I want Senator/Representative __________'s commitment that he/she will ensure that the Continuing Resolution for the 2018 spending package will not pass without the DREAM Act being called to a vote. Immigrants in Illinois are suffering, as more and more DACAmented youth are losing their DACA protections every day. We must act this year before it is too late for so many families in your district, state, and country.
[This piece of legislation is important to me because __________.]
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing your vote this week.
