When case manager Sheena Campos began working with Army veteran Kenny Marsh, he was experiencing homelessness with his service dog and best friend, Wraith. Soon after moving into permanent housing, Kenny became ill and needed surgery but had no one to watch his dog. Thankfully, Sheena and the entire community came together to care for Wraith. We are filled with gratitude to the Blessed Sacrament of Scottsdale! Members of the parish collected donations such as toiletries, hygiene, and non-perishable items that will be distributed to families in our In-Home services, Family Connection, and Nurturing parenting programs. Thank you for providing these essential products to the vulnerable in our communities for the second year in a row.

Housing for Hope, an affiliate of Catholic Charities Community Services, is excited to announce the completion of Pinyon Pointe Apartments, a hotel-to-affordable housing conversion project in Page, AZ! The new housing development will welcome its first residents at the end of this month. Housing for Hope converted the former 39-room hotel into 20 transitional housing units, with a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two two-bedroom apartments. In addition to stable housing, Catholic Charities will provide a wide range of wrap-around services to help residents work toward permanent housing. Thank you to our partners and all those who attended the Grand Opening of Pinyon Pointe yesterday and helped make this important project possible! We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Diocese of Phoenix Nazareth House Seminarians! They support multiple programs across our agency, including Care Campus, MANA House, My Sisters' Place, and Westside Head Start. We appreciate their willingness to clean facilities, decorate for the holidays, conduct resource outreach to our communities, and so much more! We look forward to continuing to work with the seminarians during their next semester.
