Hendricks Jr., instructor of automated manufacturing and machining.Amanda Carlson, associate editor of Practical Welding Today magazine, visited campus on Wednesday for an upcoming story focusing on how colleges are preparing students for modern manufacturing careers. Carlson toured several college labs, including machining, advanced manufacturing, rapid prototyping and welding.  She also spent time talking with faculty and staff and members of the college’s SAE Baja team. It’s anticipated that Carlson’s story incorporating her Penn College experience will appear in the May/June issue of the publication.
