Description

Come participate in the International Coastal Cleanup at Osamequin Nature Trails & Bird Sanctuary in Barrington! This cleanup is led by the Barrington Land Conservation Trust. At this event, we will clean up the shore and record what we find on data sheets. The resulting data will be included in the Ocean Conservancy's annual report on marine debris.

The parking lot for Osamequin is on Wampanoag Trail (Rt 114) Barrington, on the 114 N side, across from Primrose Hill Rd. Please note that there is no precise address for this site. The address given in the map below is the closest street address.

Save The Bay will provide the trash bags, data cards, pencils, and disposable gloves. All volunteers should dress for the weather and wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty. Closed-toed shoes are required. All volunteers must be able to do some light to moderate bending and lifting. Volunteers under 16 must participate with an adult. Volunteers must have their own transportation to the event. All volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable gloves, water bottle and snacks to the cleanup event. Teams are welcome!

Please complete our waiver and bring it with you THE DAY OF the event. We will have extra copies on hand if you are unable to print. Volunteers under 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent.

Any trouble signing up? Just email volunteer@savebay.org or call July Lewis at 401-272-3540 x130 and we'll get you registered!
