Since its origins, every town believes it has a special identity as a unique place.

Changes beyond their control, such as the arrival of cars and quality roads, mail order shopping, and relocation of industry, have presented major challenges to town survival and identity.

Building from their dreams, creative towns seek ways to be “sparks” to adjust and continue to be unique places.
