Unfair competitions in this app

1) One of the team player among our team had total of around 20K steps in a day and got the first place in the rank while the gap between the previous 1st place person and her was more than 32K. How is that possible? Can the app developer explain?
2) There should not be no manual step or activity entry button in the app for the sake of keeping the scores accurate and fair. Whatever the fitbit watch or health app is based on the steps, that should be counted. How can one be sure that the total steps are accurate anyway when there is a manual entering way for it?

Developer Response ,

Hi there! Team challenges are ranked by average total steps. We add the steps of all participants on a team, and then divide that total by the number of participants on the team. For additional clarification, please contact our support team at help@movespring.com.
Manual entry can be enabled by each organization's challenge admin, and is often used by participants who forget to wear their device for a day or use a device we don't integrate with. If you have specific concerns of users abusing manual entry, please contact your challenge admins at your organization directly. Thanks!

No support for iPad, even for the web

In the short amount of time I have had the app, about a month, I’ve had to contact “support” twice. The first time was because the mobile app does not work correctly on the iPad. The activity information doesn’t not center correctly. So when I slide from one activity screen to the next I’ll get half of the first screen and half of the second screen. Their support stated that “…we do not scale our mobile app to fit the iPad screen.” After explaining to them that this occurred wether or not the app was scaled up. They then told me to either use the mobile app on an iPhone, which I don’t have, or log in to their website from a desktop computer.

This led me to the second “support” contact. I created a webpage shortcut for my iOS Home Screen that pointed to the login page on their site. But when attempting to login, I kept getting an error from their website that “An unknown error has occurred.” When explaining to them using detailed steps of exactly what I did, including screenshots, they basically brushed me off tell me again that they don’t support iPads. I even went so far as attempted to test the webpage shortcut on a coworkers iPhone and still got the error when attempting to login, but it fell on deaf ears.

Both the application and webpage have since been removed since MoveSpring won’t support iPads, even for the website.

Hi Red Claw,

We're so sorry for the miscommunication about iPad support. MoveSpring is built for our mobile application first and web application second. We do not have plans to support iPad applications at this time, but we've noted this feedback in case we ever do! We appreciate your thorough feedback and hope to increase transparency with any participants accessing our application via iPad.

MoveSpring is great to work with and so much fun!

I’m not real savvy when it comes to technology. I was having difficulty figuring something out and reached out to their support team. Natalie got back with in an hour with the exact steps that I needed to take and it worked! This is the second time we’ve done this corporate challenge with Move Spring and our nurse heads up the program. I told her my great experience with Natalie today and she said from an administrators standpoint she has had questions too and that they are one of the best support teams she’s ever experienced! Last time we did this we had about 115 employees signed up for it and everybody had so much fun, and we didn’t want it to end.

Move Spring is great for your health as well as developing relationships which is great for the company cultural.
