Recovery Relief for Anna Biedenbender

Donation protected
One week ago, Anna Biedenbender was in a life-threatening accident; she was the first to be rear- ended by a semi truck while stopped at a red light. She sustained a wide variety of injuries.

She left her parent's home at 6 am to pick her brother up at the airport but never showed up. Her brother called around 8:30 asking if their mom knew her whereabouts. Her mom used Find my iPhone and saw that her phone showed Anna at an intersection on 169 in Jordan. They then discovered that there was a serious accident with road closures expected for at least four hours. Anna's mom called Jordan PD, and they confirmed that her car was involved, but they could not share any additional information. They did confirm her car was involved, and her family decided to drive to the accident site. They arrived at the site and found her car amongst 6 other smashed cars. They talked to the trooper and learned she was sent to HCMC. They could only say that she was cut out and transported in an ambulance. Her family left the site, then the hospital called. Anna was conscious when she arrived at the hospital, confused and injured, but by the grace of God, alive. Her breathing was labored because of a punctured lung, so they intubated her. Because of the breathing tube she was sedated. Additionally she has multiple broken bones, many bruises, other upper body injuries, a broken pelvis, and knee injuries.

After working her way from the ICU to the Trauma Unit to the Orthopedic Unit, Anna was miraculously discharged from the hospital yesterday and is currently living with her mom. She is using a walker for ambulation, and is continuing to improve day by day. She is resilient, strong, and the power of prayer is remarkable, but as you can imagine, there are still mountains to climb. As you might imagine, prayers are welcome.

While Anna has some coverage, immediate costs and expenses add up, she is unable to work at this time, and it is unknown when and how much insurance will kick in.

If you are compelled to donate to alleviate any potential financial strain Anna or her family may experience, contribute to this fund and spread the love and care that she and her family are already feeling from near and far. If there is additional money in this fund after everything settles, Anna has requested that the money go toward St. Croix Lutheran Middle School's art department.
