Join us for our 2021 ResLab Kick-Off on Friday, August 27th from 5 to 8 pm with our program partner Asian Community Development Corporation alongside their annual Films at the Gate series. This year’s family-friendly activation will take place in Mary Soo Hoo Park at the Rose Kennedy Greenway, located right next to the Chinatown Gate. Our 2021 ResLab artists and residents, in partnership with the Greenway Conservancy, will activate the space with art installations co-created in response to this year’s theme of collective care. The evening itself will include opportunities to hear from the participants as well as music and family friendly activities. We will see you there!
About the program
Residence Lab is a partnership between Pao Arts Center and Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC) to empower and train artists and residents to collectively preserve the Chinatown community through creative and artistic space activation. Through site-specific installations, Residence Lab will activate underutilized public/third spaces in Chinatown, transforming these sites into tools for public stories that uplift the narratives, culture, and character of Boston’s Chinatown.
