S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 7045 2021-2022 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y April 21, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. BUTTENSCHON -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the canal law, in relation to making mandatory quarterly meetings of the canal recreationway commission not subject to the call of the chairperson THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 7 of section 138-a of the canal law, as added by chapter 766 of the laws of 1992, is amended to read as follows: 7. The commission shall meet at least quarterly [at the call of its chairperson]. Special meetings may be called by its chairperson and shall be called by the chairperson at the request of a majority of the members of the commission then in office. § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10600-01-1
