For several months now, everyone’s daily life has been strewn with uncertainty. To support you during this trying time, we have created a virtual destination where you can find practical tips and resources to help you stay the course.

We call it Code Hope.

Whether you are on the front line with our patients or at home in confinement, we are here to support you,
as are our teams in the Mental Health Mission.

Support the medical teams at the Montreal General Hospital by making a donation.

A little bit of comfort

Being alone and isolated can be tough on the morale. If you feel isolated, anxious or depressed or if you feel the need to be comforted, please know that there are resources to help you. A comfort line has been set-up by the Quebec Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation to offer peer-support and a kind listening ear. Trained volunteers who have experienced mental health issues in the past are there not to give advice, but to listen and share their own experience. This free service is available 7 days a week, from 11:00 am to 9:00 PM.

To get started or to slow down.

Many resources are available to help you stay active even at home.
Since we know that the endless selection of YouTube videos can be anxiety-provoking for some, here are two clips to get you started.
Yoga is a great way to take care of both your mental and physical health, to give yourself a break and a moment to yourself.

Special care for people dealing with addictions

Addition is often an illness that results from and in social disconnection. Isolation can definitely be a risk factor for relapse as can stress and anxiety.

Music, that precious ally

It accompanies us in different moments of your daily lives and yet we don’t always think about using it as a tool. Music holds many powers: it allows us to access our emotions and to release them. It also offers a direct connection to the present moment, alleviating anxiety or depressive symptoms. To read the interview with our music therapist Dany Bouchard on this subject, click here.
